Rehab Rounds

What is it?

IGNITE RehabRounds brings together the stakeholders involved in the rehabilitation of sport horses for the discussion of real cases. Together we create a multi-disciplinary approach with mutual respect and understanding. Through this collaborative discussion, the patients and the equine industry benefit as professionals learn from each other’s successes and failures.

How does it work?

Monthly Zoom meetings where one case is presented in English in 20 minutes by a member of this group who volunteers.

The case is anonymized, prepared, and presented to the group according to the folowing format:

  • Identify the presenting complaint clearly

  • Describe the key points of assessment

  • Identify the major diagnostic tools employed to achieve a diagnosis

  • Elaborate on treatment and rehabilitation approach and the outcome (so far)

After this a topic expert can ask questions about the case or the presenter can ask questions to the expert.

Group members can ask questions to the presenter and vice versa.

The moderator oversees the meeting, leads the discussion and takes care of ending the meeting in one hour with a short summary and take-home message(s).

The recordings are made available to the group to watch on-demand on the membership page. There are recordings available from 2021 onward.
